 Question  : Where to apply soft loans under PPLH?
Answer : All applications must be submitted to Forest Plantation Development Sdn. Bhd. (FPDSB); a special purpose vehicle established to manage matters pertaining PPLH.
     
Question  : What are the documentations needed to apply for soft loans under PPLH?
Answer : Applicants are required to furnish the following documents
upon applications:
i. Application Letter;
ii. Company Profile;
iii. Paperwork of the Proposed Project;
iv. Copies of Form 9, 24 and 49 under Company Act 1965 (to be verified);
v. Copy of Memorandum and Articles of Association (to be verified);
vi. Copy of Land Title/Ownership OR Leasehold Agreement (LA); and
Company’s Organisation Chart.
     
Question  : What are the selected species under PPLH?
Answer : There are nine (9) selected species under PPLH:
i. Rubberwood (RRIM 3001, 2025, 2027, 928, 929 & PB 350);
ii. Acacia;
iii. Kelempayan/Laran;
iv. Batai;
v. Teak;
vi. Binuang;
vii. Khaya;
viii.Sentang;
ix. Bamboo (Semantan, Beting, Beti, Betong & Hitam).
     
Question  : What is kenaf?
Answer : Kenaf or its scientific name Hibiscus Cannabinus L. is a non-woody fibrous tree and is a short-term crop. Kenaf belongs to the family of Malvaceae and is under the genus Hibiscus, which has similarity to the genus and cotton. The plant is also cultivated in China, Myanmar, and Indonesia.
     
Question  : Why is MYTLAS's license necessary for timber exports to the international market?
Answer : The MYTLAS is supported by the Government of Malaysia in ensuring that timber and timber products exported from Malaysia are produced in line with the applicable national laws and legislation, as required by the European Union Timber Regulation (EUTR).
